Akon n'est plus à présenter, mais pour ceux qui voudraient en savoir un peu plus sur lui, voici quelques précisions...


C'est en 2004 que le public découvre pour la première fois Akon, avec son album Trouble. L'opus est certifié double disque d'or en France notamment grâce aux titres Locked Up et Lonely.

Deux ans plus tard, il revient avec Konvicted encore une fois certifié double disque d'or !!!

Akon ne s'arrête pas là, puisque qu'en 2007, il bat des records historiques en devenant le premier artiste à occuper simultanément, et à deux reprises, la première (I Wanna Love You) et la deuxième (Smack That) position dans le Hot 100 du Billboard !!!

2007 est également l'année où il est consacré Meilleur Artiste de l'année. Du côté des trophées, Akon a remporté un American Music Award en tant que 'Meilleur Artiste Masculin Soul/R&B' (2007) et a été récompensé à trois reprises aux World Music Awards. Il a été certifié disque d'or et de platine dans une bonne douzaine de pays.

Le 1er décembre 2008, Akon revient avec Freedom, et à écouter le premier titre, Right now (na na na), on sait que ça va tuer !!!
